SwissCham, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in China, is a non-profit organization representing Swiss businesses across the country. Through its industry-specific committees, SwissCham fosters collaboration, promotes policy dialogue, and facilitates meaningful engagement between companies and regulatory stakeholders.

One such group is the SwissCham Life Science Committee (LSC), which unites Swiss life science companies to address sector-specific opportunities and challenges in China. Each year, the LSC publishes a briefing paper analyzing market trends, regulatory developments, and the evolving business environment—offering insights and practical recommendations. The upcoming edition is scheduled for release on the same date with Sino-Swiss Business Awards on 27th August 2025.

In celebration of 75 years of Sino-Swiss diplomatic relations, SwissCham is pleased to host a high-level roundtable between our life science members and representatives from key Chinese institutions. This event will mark the kick-off of a broader engagement framework, designed to foster ongoing dialogue and collaboration. Targeted follow-up meetings will be held with relevant departments, focusing on shared priorities. The aim is to build a long-term structure for collaboration—aligned with Chinese government objectives—that supports mutual understanding, practical cooperation, and sustainable development of the life science sector.

The SSBA is the leading business award recognizing excellence within the Swiss business community in China. Held every two years, the awards celebrate achievements in innovation, sustainability, digitalization, talent development, and Sino-Swiss cooperation. The 2025 edition will be held in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China, and we expect a high-level delegation from Switzerland to attend.
