We are pleased to invite you to a visit to a Hitachi Energy factory (Beijing Power System Co., Ltd.) in Beijing.

As AI, data centers, electric vehicles, and the electrification of industry continue to drive unprecedented demand for electricity, ensuring that energy is available where and when it is needed has become one of the world's key infrastructure challenges.

During the visit, Hitachi Energy will share how High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) technology supports the efficient transmission of electricity over long distances, helping integrate renewable energy sources, improve grid stability, and deliver power from where it is generated to where it is needed most. The session will also explore the role of advanced power transmission in supporting the growing energy demands of AI and the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient energy system.

Participants will also tour Hitachi Energy's manufacturing facility, gain insights into the technologies shaping tomorrow's power grids, and exchange views with fellow SwissCham members on the future of energy infrastructure.

北京日立能源电力系统有限公司成立于2011年，是日立能源在中国的本土分支企业，拥有瑞士总部完整的高压直流技术转让合同。公司专注于提供高压直流（HVDC）输电解决方案，包括常规直流输电、柔性直流输电、海上风电、离岸供电等应用的整体解决方案、系统设计、核心器件换流阀、直流场设备、控制保护系统的生产以及相应的高压直流全生命周期服务。

作为高压直流技术的发明者，日立能源在过去70多年中实现了多项突破性创新，并在全球范围内成功投运了120多个商业高压直流项目，为中国特高压输电建设带来世界领先的运行可靠性。

北京日立能源电力系统有限公司始终与日立能源瑞典高压直流总部保持同一技术平台。该技术已应用于全球120多个直流项目，其中包括40多个中国高压直流工程。公司本土技术团队也已参与国内约30个高压直流工程的建设。

公司积极参与国家西电东送战略和双碳目标下的新型电力系统建设；积极参与"国家大气污染防治行动计划"的特高压直流建设；积极拥护国家"一带一路"战略。迄今为止，我们先后参与了向家坝-上海、锦屏-苏南、哈密-郑州、酒泉-湖南、晋北-南京、昌吉-古泉、滇西北-广东、张北柔性直流、青海-河南、乌东德多端直流、如东海上风电、白鹤滩-江苏、白鹤滩-浙江、陇东-山东、金上-湖北、哈密-重庆、陕北-安徽等多条特高压工程的建设，直接与项目业主签订了换流阀、直流场设备等合同，体现出高效的项目执行能力与卓越的质量管理水平，成绩斐然。

值得一提的是2016年国家投资建设的昌吉-古泉1100千伏直流项目，其输送电压高达1100千伏，传输容量高达12吉瓦，均为全球第一。2019年参与执行的张北±535千伏柔性直流输电示范工程是世界首个柔性直流电网工程，也是世界上电压等级最高、输送容量最大的柔性直流工程，是国家电网服务能源清洁低碳发展的重大工程。公司也在2020年参与了国内首个远海柔性直流输电示范项目如东海上柔性直流输电项目。2022年投运的全球首个采用常规直流和柔性直流混合级联技术的±800kV白鹤滩-江苏特高压直流输电工程、2025年投运的世界海拔最高、国内首个送端高低端分址级联±800kV金上-湖北特高压直流输电工程中也都能看到我们的身影。

公司厂区总面积为26826平方米，其中封闭厂房面积为10568平方米。公司拥有完整先进的柔性直流换流阀和常规换流阀生产线，具备独立开展高压直流换流阀全部型式试验项目的能力。日立能源不仅拥有自主研发的大功率运行试验回路，也拥有国际认可且具备国际认证资质的高电压实验室（STL、SATS和CIGRE），并已与欧盟、大洋洲、美国、加拿大、以色列等全球主要国家和地区签署多边认可协议。

公司通过了ISO9001:2015 质量管理体系认证、ISO14001:2015环境管理体系认证和ISO45001:2018职业健康安全管理体系认证、ISO50001：2018能源管理体系认证和安全生产标准化三级认证，2024年12月入选国家级绿色制造名单，2025年12月入选北京市绿色供应链企业名单。

Founded in 2011, Hitachi Energy Power System Co., Ltd. is a local branch of Hitachi Energy in China. It has a complete HVDC technology transfer contract with the headquarters in Switzerland. The company focuses on providing HVDC solutions including HVDC System Design, Classic and VSC converter valve, DC yard equipment, C&P system, as well as HVDC Life-cycle services for different applications such as large scale transmission, Offshore Wing Connection, Power from Shore, Back-to-Back and DC in AC grids and so on.

Hitachi Energy Power System Co., Ltd. always shares the same technical platform with our headquarter of HVDC business in Sweden, who has a reference list with more than 120 HVDC projects in successful operation around the world, and more than 40 of these are in China. Even the China local team had been participated in around 30 domestic HVDC projects.

The company always actively joins China's HVDC projects, and faithfully embrace China's One Belt and Road strategy and Dual-carbon Goals. As so far, we have been provided essential equipments like Converter Valve, DC Breakers and Bushings etc. for many China's HVDC projects like Xiangjiaba - Shanghai, Jinping - Sunan, Hami - Zhengzhou, Jiuquan - Hunan, Jinbei - Nanjing, Changji – Guquan, Yunnan – Guangdong, Zhangbei VSC, Wudongde multi-end VSC, Rudong OWC and Baihetan-Jiangsu Hybrid, Baihetan-Zhejiang, Longdong-Shandong, Jinshang-Hubei, Hami-Chongqing and Shanbei-Anhui projects. We have achieved remarkable results in these projects, and appraised for our efficient project execution and excellent quality management.

It is worth mentioning that Changji - Guquan ±1100 kV DC project in 2016, which was ranked as top 1 both in voltage and transmission capacity in the world. Zhangbei ± 535kv VSC project we won in 2018 is honored as the first VSC grid project in the world. In 2020, the company was awarded with Rudong OWC project, which was the first VSC OWC project in China. The company also contributed to the Baihetan–Jiangsu ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project, commissioned in 2022 as the world's first project using hybrid cascaded LCC and VSC HVDC technology, as well as the Jinshang–Hubei ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project, commissioned in 2025 as the world's highest-altitude UHVDC project and China's first HV and LV pole of sending station in different site cascaded UHVDC project.

The company has a total site area of 26,826㎡, including 10,568㎡ of enclosed plant area. It has complete and advanced production lines for both VSC converter valves and LCC converter valves, and is capable of independently carrying out all type-test items for HVDC converter valves. Hitachi Energy not only has independently developed high-power operation test circuits, but also owns internationally recognized high-voltage laboratories with international certification qualifications, including STL, SATS, and CIGRE, and has signed multilateral recognition agreements with major countries and regions worldwide, including the European Union, Oceania, the United States, Canada, and Israel.

The company has obtained ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system certification, ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management system certification, ISO 50001:2018 energy management system certification, and Level III Work Safety Standardization certification. In December 2024, it was included in the National Green Manufacturing List, and in December 2025, it was included in the Beijing Green Supply Chain Enterprise List.
