Andrea has been living in China since 2014 and joined Zunarelli Law Firm in 2017. He is Coordinator of the Healthcare Department at Zunarelli Group – Health Law Asia, and he is Managing Partner of Health Law Asia.

He graduated LL.M. in Law at the Catholic University of Milan in 2001, and he was admitted to the Milan Bar Association in 2004. From the very beginning of his professional career, Andrea has specialized in healthcare law, advising National Health Service institutions, private hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and global cosmetics brands.
His expertise focuses on competition and compliance, market access, and international trade of regulated healthcare products, as well as international cooperation in the healthcare sector.
Andrea provides legal and regulatory advice to European and Chinese companies, as well as to public and private institutions engaged in commercial or institutional cross-border relationships. He also represents European healthcare institutions in cooperation projects with Chinese government bodies and hospitals.

Andrea is a member of the editorial committee of the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Law Journal and a member of the Healthcare Working Group of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC).
As part of his academic background, Andrea published numerous papers and conducted seminars on healthcare law. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Administrative Law at the Catholic University of Milan.

Philip Lazare studied law in Munich and Berlin, Germany. After a few years working for the (now
dissolved) German post-unification privatization agency (Treuhandanstalt) and for a high-tech
medical device company in Berlin, he joined a large MDP firm and was responsible for
establishing offices in Poland and China. Philip has worked in Shanghai since 2000.
Philip’s main clients are European SMEs and large corporates that are active in the Chinese
market, either as greenfield investors or through acquisitions and joint ventures. His work covers
a large spectrum of industries and legal disciplines including corporate structuring, M&A/JVs,
competition, real estate, tax, data security & privacy, financial services regulations and others.

Chen Jiawei holds a bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Engineering from
Soochow University and a master’s degree in Law from Nanjing University. She passed the
National Judicial Examination and the Patent Agent Qualification Examination and joined
Shaohe Law Firm in 2022.
Ms. Chen advises clients mainly in the fields of IP and Data Compliance. Thanks to her
academic background in engineering, she has a very systematic and thorough understanding of
data compliance and the whole process of patent business, and she always provides practical
advice to the clients.
