As the 20th CPC Central Committee concludes its Fourth Plenary Session, attention turns to the "Proposition" (Jianyi), which will set the course for China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030). Rather than a strategic shift, the plan is expected to refine priorities within the existing "Dual Circulation" framework, focusing on six pillars: domestic demand, social rebalancing, de-risking, high-level opening-up, market reforms, and industrial upgrading. Recent Politburo signals highlight a dual focus: broad social policy commitments alongside concrete emphasis on industrial upgrading and market reforms—reflecting Beijing's continued reliance on industrial advancement to boost productivity, incomes, and consumption. The plan may also incorporate emerging themes like "anti-involution," "AI+," and "investing in people," potentially expanding social security and urban livability, while scaling back on development-security measures in light of progress made during the 14th FYP.

Markus, a Swiss-Chinese, is an experienced China analyst and consultant for European corporate, investment and public sectors focusing on China’s market, policy and geoeconomic factors to provide advice on key management issues including strategy, governmental affairs and general HQ-subsidiary interactions, as well as strategic initiatives such as localization, partnerships and negotiations. Prior to CMG, Markus worked as Government Affairs Director with Bayer MaterialScience in China and as Management Consultant with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in its Shanghai, Hong Kong and Zurich offices.
Markus is a Strategic Advisor Europe to Caixin Global and the Vice-President of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SCCC), leading its policy and government affairs committee as well as coordination with European peer organizations. He is further engaged in the advisory board of CEIBS Zurich (Europe) and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network.
Markus holds a B.A. and M.A. in Law focusing on public policy, international public, economic and WTO law from the Universities of Geneva, Bern and Fribourg, plus he studied Chinese at the Peking University as a resident student and holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from the University of Zurich in applied ethics.

陈先生现兼任财新国际欧洲战略顾问，同时是瑞士中国商会（SCCC）副主席，领导其政策和政府事务委员会，并通过欧盟中国贸易协会（EUCBA）与欧洲其它相关组织进行协调。他还是中欧国际工商学院（CEIBS）苏黎世（欧洲）咨询委员会委员、世界经济论坛专家网络（WEF Expert Network）成员。
陈先生拥有日内瓦大学、伯尔尼大学和弗里堡大学的法学学士和硕士学位，主修公共政策、国际公共法、经济法和WTO法。他曾在北京大学学习中文，并拥有苏黎世大学应用伦理学高级研究证书。
